From Anger to Creativity

Intention:
Transform anger into creative energy.

These two imagery exercises can help the anger ignite the creative process:

Exercise 1

  • Close your eyes.
  • Breathe out slowly three times.
  • See the anger as an uprush of flames in front of your eyes.
  • Breathe out twice and enter those flames.
  • See and sense a rain shower from above dousing the flames.
  • As the flames disappear, know that the anger has as well.
  • Breathe out and open your eyes. Use whenever you experience anger.

Exercise 2

  • Close your eyes.
  • Breathe out three times slowly.
  • Sense and feel how anger constricts you.
  • Breathe out one time slowly and begin expanding, seeing and releasing the constriction that has squeezed you.
